Controllership Intercompany Specialist

Responsibilities:

The Intercompany Specialist is a senior member in the Intercompany Accounting Group in India. The main objectives of the role are to ensure the financial accuracy and reconciliation of the intercompany positions between Company entities at global level. Rigorous implementation of the accounting policies and transfer pricing conditions to achieve tax compliance. Supporting the transition of new tasks and ad-hoc projects.

Role Expectations:

- Build sound understanding of intercompany concepts, policies, and procedures.

- Answer or research questions regarding intercompany invoicing, settlement, & related taxes

- Support stakeholders on urgent or special queries

- Actively participate in month-end/quarter-end intercompany close.

- Assist defining and testing global Intercompany initiatives, system enhancement projects as well as providing solid support to countries' Intercompany related projects.

- Collaborate to continuously improve existing Intercompany systems, processes, and internal controls.

- Collaborate with controllerships and area tax leads in intercompany contract information to useful format for audit information, local country tax compliance, transfer pricing analysis and other special requests.

- Prepare reports for internal controls related to intercompany invoicing, settlement, withholding tax, and consolidation/elimination.

- Determine and post journal entries to adjust intercompany results as needed.

- Direct the integration of acquired companies or joint ventures into the intercompany contract structure and into the SAP accounting system to ensure transactions are properly recorded & supported as well as eliminated in consolidation.

- Provide accurate and timely financial information to enable leadership to make key business decisions.

- Contribute to internal training, preparing, and maintaining end-user procedures.

- Be able to work in a flexible working time - early night shift during closing period.

Qualifications:

- CA or CMA Inter with min 5 years of accounting experience.

- Bachelor's degree and above in Accounting / Finance with 7-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in intercompany accouting.

Required Experience:

- Excellent knowledge of business, finance and accounting fundamentals including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

- Exposure to SAP S4 Hana or similar ERP applications

- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Programs (Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Power BI)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to assertively communicate with global teams.

- Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment.

- Strong organizational, time and project management skills, with ability to manage implementation projects within tight time constraints.

- Ability to interact effectively with various groups.

- Initiative and problem-solving ability

- Good sense on Operational Improvement/Delivery/Operation Effectiveness methodology, procedures and tools and individual efficiency and productivity measurement and improvement
