Associate Principal Analyst
Job location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India; Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Experience:

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members
Deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience working on signal development, data analysis, cyber security, or anti-abuse
Experience with data analysis, tools and processes, and building customer reputation models

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with fraud/abuse investigations, fraud risk management, security and threat analysis in the context of internet, telephony, or communication-related products
Knowledge of SMS/MMS/RCS or SIM/Phone Number fraud and abuse
Ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders
Ability to program in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Golang)
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to deliver findings to cross-functional partners, and ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels

About the job:
The Trust and Safety team at Google has the critical responsibility of protecting users by fighting fraud and abuse across various Google products. The Messaging Spam and Abuse team focuses on preventing abuse within the messaging ecosystem. In this role, you will work globally and cross-functionally with Google Engineers and Product Managers to navigate online safety situations and take on abuse and fraud at Google scale.
Responsibilities:

Analyze emerging trends and conduct complex data analyses
Identify new signals to develop solutions for scaled enforcement
Lead projects to prevent abuse of Google's infrastructure
Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management teams
Educate clients to reduce threats upstream
