Objective of the position:

Be the primary contact for all Treasury related matters in India for BASF entities in India which involves Daily Cash Management (DCM), Manage Forex exposure, Liaison with banks / statutory bodies / regional treasury / service hub for treasury operations and documentation, Efficient funding, etc.

 

Main Tasks:

  • Adherence of BASF guidelines and processes (e.g. appropriate use of hedge instrument, hedging of open exposure, GURU framework, optimizing financing through local and Group point of view)

  • Support regional treasury to ensure efficient source of finance to fund the short term working capital as well as long term capital investment needs (eg ECB, Masala Bond, Buyers credit, Commercial paper, export finance etc.)

  • Support Treasury Front Office in daily fund monitoring & ensuring fund transfer, loan, FD are done properly in time for BIL & BCIPL.

  • Support Treasury Front Office in management of FX position & payments. Forward cover & maintaining Forex related compliance as per new RBI guideline.

  • Coordinate dividend planning with regional treasury / local finance and legal.

  • Coordinate yearly credit rating with rating agency / local finance / regional treasury / CFT.

  • Business partnering. Providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic support to business unit, enabling informed decision-making and driving business performance through effective collaboration, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring key performance indicators, and evaluating new business opportunities.

  • Monitoring of Bank open item (Bank Reconciliation)

  • Dealing on regular basis with bankers to solve any routine queries also for any specific requirements of documentation for Commercial Paper, FD, and Loan etc.

  • Driving automation in finance processes (eg document warehousing, e collect, smart PDF etc.)

  • Managing the relationship with banks and statutory bodies.

  • Monitoring and forecasting of collections / surplus funds and operating cash flow

  • Fraud prevention related measures (with the regional team)

 

Job Requirements:

  • CA with minimium 4 years experience in Treasury in a MNC setup (preferably in a manufacturing MNC)

  • Strong knowledge of Treasury and Finance

  • Good in managing relationship with Bankers and NBFC personnel

  • Fluent in English - written and oral communication

  • Hands on with MS office especially MS Excel and Powerpoint - Working knowledge of PowerBI will be an added advantage
