Job Overview:

As the Category Lead for Kidswear at Mensa Brands, you will be a key player in driving the success and growth of our Kidswear category within the Fashion Vertical. This role demands a strategic and creative mindset to curate an appealing assortment, aligning with market trends and consumer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Strategy:-

- Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for Kidswear, encompassing product assortment, pricing, and promotions to achieve business objectives.

2. Market Analysis:-

- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and consumer demands in the Kidswear segment.

3. Assortment Planning:-

- Work closely with the product development team to curate an attractive and diverse assortment of Kidswear products, ensuring alignment with brand identity.

4. Vendor Management:-

- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating terms, ensuring product quality, and optimising costs.

5. Sales Optimization:-

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales and promotional strategies to drive revenue and achieve category targets.

6. Inventory Management:-

- Partner with the inventory team to optimise stock levels, minimise stockouts, and reduce excess inventory, ensuring a healthy and efficient supply chain.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration:-

- Engage with various teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of category-related initiatives.

Qualifications :

1. Degree in Business, Fashion Management, or a related field.

2. 3+ years of experience in category management, preferably in Kidswear.

3. In-depth knowledge of Kidswear market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape.

4. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

5. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

6. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding category targets.

7. Creative mindset with a passion for fashion and an understanding of brand aesthetics.
