Job Description

Philips Oral Healthcare (OHC) is seeking a Product Industrialization Project Manager (PIPM) to join the Product Industrialization Engineering (PIE) team.   The PIPM is responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools, and equipment of the manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable, and efficient production processes within PDLM.  This role is the pitcher of new product industrialization projects towards the manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiates and leads process development activities.
  • Ensures adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications, and release.
  • Initiates Design for Lean Manufacturing in PDLM processes
  • Accountable for Process Requirements based on Product Specifications from R&D and Manufacturing Requirements
  • Applies lean manufacturing principles.
  • Accountable for design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers driven by PDLM governed projects.
  • Responsible for planning & quality for industrialization projects.

Required Skills and/or Knowledge:

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering field
  • 9-15 years of experience in in a manufacturing environment
  • 4-6 manufacturing process issue resolutions and improvements
  • Understanding of R&D development processes and global Supply Chain operations processes
  • Good communication knowledge â should have experience working in global cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated success in working complex issues with cross-functional team members to effective resolution.
  • Understanding of plastics and injection moulding
  • Understanding of manufacturing process, equipment, and production lines
  • Operational Excellence including Lean Manufacturing and problem solving.
  • Project Management skills.
