Job Description:

Role: Security Engineer/ Consultant

Primary Responsibilities:

· Provide operational support for both On-prem and cloud proxies on multiple platforms across the client environment

· Escalation point for complex technical issues.

· Rotational weekend on-call to address critical issues. Ability to work weekends when necessary for scheduled tasks.

· Responsible for bringing problems to a resolution within a timely manner.

· Lead operational projects to completion working with other stakeholders (including vendors).

· Drive the resolution of all priority issues including participation in technical assistance conference calls.

· Support customers with process and technical questions related to daily operational work.

· Build relationships with customers, other teams, and vendors to provide exceptional service.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and automate processes within Proxy Operations.

· Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements to assist with security audits and assist in remediation of any Network security-related issues.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Ensure proxy services and systems are always available and reliable.

· Respond to and manage service issues and problems.

· Responsible for awareness and compliance to the policy and guidelines of the ISMS.

· Report, pursue, communicate, and when needed escalate any breaches in information security or policies.

· Able to coordinate and work with on-site engineers during outages or critical situations.

· Adhere to established incident management SLAs.

· Able to document troubleshooting/process-related documents for the team.

Qualifications

Education/Other:

· Bachelorâs Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Other Qualifications

· Professional Qualifications are preferred, including:

o ZIA and ZPA Certified Administrator

o Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)

o Blue Coat Certified Proxy Administrator (BCCPA)

o Cisco Certified - CCNA Security or any other

· ITIL Foundation Certified

Desired Years of Experience: 6 to 8 years

Technical skills:

· In-depth knowledge of specific proxy solutions such as Zscaler Proxy, Bluecoat Proxy, Symantec WSS Proxy, Firewallâs or other similar services.

· Understanding of how to configure, manage, and troubleshoot web applications.

· Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS.

· Ability to analyze network traffic patterns and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

· Deploy, configure, and manage Bluecoat ProxySG appliances.

· Develop and implement security policies: Define access control rules, content filtering configurations, and malware detection/prevention strategies to ensure secure web browsing for users.

· Monitor and analyze security logs and reports: Identify potential threats, investigate security incidents, and take corrective action as needed.

· Deploy, Configure, Manage & troubleshoot BlueCoat Reporter.

· Generate and analyze adhoc reports on web usage and security incidents.

· Skill in rule consolidation, cleanup, and regular review to ensure security and compliance.

· Experience in incident response and management, including the ability to handle and resolve security incidents related to cloud proxy services.

· Knowledge of virtualization technologies, as many proxy solutions operate in virtualized environments.

· Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to proxy services.

· Ability to assist in security audits and remediate any issues identified during the audit process.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, customers, and proxy service vendors.
