Desktop support engineer – Fixed Night Shift

This is a detailed description of job duties and requirements for the position of Desktop support engineer – Fixed Night Shift

Job Role- Desktop support engineer

Location – Sipcot IT Park, Siruseri

Shift – Night shift(7.30 PM IST to 4.30 AM IST)

Experience – 3+years

Job Description :

Good Communication Skill with CCNA and MCSA Certification or Trained.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

· Install, configure, and upgrade desktop operating systems and software applications.

· Set up and maintain user accounts and profiles.

· Perform system backups and ensure data integrity.

· Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain network connectivity for desktops.

· Manage hardware and software inventory, including tracking assets and licenses.

· Document technical procedures and create user guides as needed.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and provide recommendations for improvements.

· Assist in IT projects and deployments as required.

· Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

· Candidates should be willing to work on 24/7 shifts and 5 working days in a week.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

· Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role for 2 years

· Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).

· Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

· Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.

· Knowledge of remote support tools and techniques is desirable.
