Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Vapi location. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and development of electrical equipment for hazardous areas. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects and collaborate with a team of passionate professionals in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create detailed designs and technical drawings for electrical equipment.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to translate design concepts into practical solutions.
  3. Generate 3D models and simulations to evaluate design feasibility and performance characteristics.
  4. Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise to support product development and improvement initiatives.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications throughout the design process.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for prototype development and production.
  7. Support prototype testing and validation activities to verify design integrity and functionality.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize design processes and enhance product performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a CAD Design Engineer, preferably in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  4. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  7. Knowledge of hazardous area classification and electrical safety standards is a plus.
