Network Automation Engineer

The Senior Software Monitoring Engineer is accountable for designing, developing, and testing software systems, modules, or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Incumbents within this job are accountable for detailed design for certain modules/sub-systems, doing prototype for multi-vendor infrastructure, and showcasing it internally or externally to clients. Design and develop functionality in a micro-services environment working with APIs, telemetry data, and running ML/AI algorithms on it, working with both structured and unstructured data.

Requirements:

  • Primary Skills: Any scripting languages like Python, Groovy, JavaScript etc., libraries and its frameworks, Rest API development
  • Secondary Skills: Exposure to Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, HP Aruba & other network devices.

Exposure to any monitoring tools like Logic Monitor, Dynatrace, AppDynamics etc.


Automation Skills Required:

  • Proficient in at least one scripting language. E.g. Python, Groovy, JavaScript. Knowledge on markup languages like YAML & JSON. Experience with Microsoft and/or Linux server platforms.
  • Hands-On experience in developing & testing Webservices/REST API/Microservices.
  • Have an awareness of most network management business solutions as well as a working knowledge of the solution products such as Logic monitor, Dynatrace, AppDynamics etc
  • Knowledge acquired on at least one cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP


Soft Skills & Good to have:

  • Experience working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies.
  • Good working knowledge of infrastructure design, including network, storage & compute layers.
  • Knowledge & experience across SDLC in Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Willingness to evaluate & integrate new tools & technologies. Ability to take ownership of the tasks & assist on technical solutioning with architects/leads.
