  • About the Position:
  • Wink’s patent pending platform simplifies and streamlines the payments acceptance stack for e-commerce while adding a unique state of the art biometric-driven multifactor authentication solution, thereby eliminating both friction and fraud. All of Wink’s solutions are run in the public cloud. As a Cloud DevOps Lead, you will be required to lead a team that builds, deploys, scales, secures, and maintains company-wide platforms for our customer-facing state-of-the-art solutions along with internal productivity and devops pipelines. While various development teams focus on building our platforms, the Cloud DevOps team provides operational and cloud engineering for Wink’s offerings. You and your team will provide tooling, automation, and consulting to developer teams to ensure that Wink services follow the best devops and cloud architecture practices. This team's key focus will be improving the efficiency of Wink’s public cloud use and overall cost.
  • A great candidate will have a passion for security, cloud innovation, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and working with vendor and platform development teams. This role is very hands-on and requires the candidate to jump in and provide practical guidance grounded in real world experience.
  • What you will do:
  • • Lead a team responsible to design and build Wink’s cloud infrastructure to successfully host and run Wink’s products
  • • Identify requirements and lead the implementation and engineering efforts for cloud tooling such as deployment automation, devops & CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure scripting, etc.
  • • Capture and share cloud architecture best practices between platform, product, vendor teams and other technical leaders
  • • Ownership and responsibility for cloud infrastructure, issue resolution and improvements through the creation and tracking to closure of tickets along with engaging vendors to make necessary fixes and improvements
  • • Identify, evaluate, and implement technologies (including third party tools and solutions) and/or configuration and policies related to cloud governance, information security, infrastructure management, monitoring, scaling, etc.
  • • Evaluate new vendor-specific cloud services and determine and promote applicability at Wink
  • • Be the technical liaison between cloud providers (Microsoft Azure), third party solution providers, and Wink product teams.
  • • Participate in governance programs related to risks and risk mitigation strategies
  • • Help define the operational and customer onboarding models for the solution
  • • Maintain and grow the Infrastructure and DevOps Wiki spaces to propagate knowledge throughout the organization
  • What you need:
  • • At least 10+ years of experience working within the Software industry across multiple solution and industry domains
  • • Minimum 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and network design with a strong security focus.
  • • Self-starter with leadership experience managing a small team, maintaining an infrastructure backlog, coordinating with vendors, defining environments, etc.
  • • Strong hands-on Expertise with at least one large cloud computing provider (Azure is preferred) is a MUST
  • • Practical experience in setting up DevOps pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using a wide array of industry tools (Azure DevOps is preferred)
  • • Familiar with high availability reference designs, high performance methodologies along with diagnosing / eliminating bottlenecks. Familiar with auto-scaling cloud techniques and able to practically leverage them in context of big data solutions
  • • Experience with solutions for logging, monitoring, auditing, and managing infrastructure health across multiple environments
  • • Proven experience performing coordinating triage sessions for root cause analysis in complex and distributed systems and environments
  • • Creativity and a passion for tackling challenging infrastructure problems and willingness to work in a start-up environment is a must
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • • Ability to write crisp documentation, effectively white board and create simple, easy to understand diagrams for complex systems
  • • Comfortable working in an Agile environment following Scrum or Kanban
  • • University Engineering degree. Advanced degree preferred.
