MSSQL DBA with Azure

Role: MSSQL DataBase Administrator with Azure

Location: Greater Noida

Work Type: WFO (5 Days a Week)

Notice Period: 0-15 Days Only

Primary: Microsoft SQL Server - Experience in Administrating MSSQL Database (On-premise & Azure Cloud), Troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of high availability and disaster recovery

Secondary - MySQL (On-premises & Cloud)

• This position is a hands-on DBA role responsible for the management of the SQL Server database support across the globe within a matrix support and management model. Perform value added & proactive work functions as assigned such as environment health checks.

• 10-12 years of solid technical experience in data centre on-premises/cloud environment specializing in database, MSSQL latest versions. MySQL knowledge is an added advantage.

• Assist in developing and implementing DBA processes, procedures, and SOPs for SQL Server Database Systems.

• 6+ years of direct hands-on DBA support of Azure SQL Server database support alone and well-versed with all data modeling implementations.

• Have at least 2-3 implementation experience in Azure SQL Server, should be able to articulate E2E implementation experience, with customer onboarding.

• Excellent writing and optimizing SQL statements, strong T-SQL & PowerShell scripting.

• Development DBA experience, including diagnosis of Database performance, health checks, and monitoring, well versed with best practices in the industry.

• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases

• Work with the Application Team for Code/Query tuning: adding/removing indexes, rewriting queries for better performance, and so on

• Knowledge of SQL Server maintenance/patching mechanics.

• Logging, managing, and resolving SQL Server SRs with Microsoft Support

• Experience with Code Migration tools is a plus

• Administration and troubleshooting of Concurrent Managers (Technical expertise areas)

• Candidates should have extensive database experience on HADR concepts like Always On, Replication, etc.

• Should have experience with Azure PaaS, managed Instances, etc Key Responsibilities & Business Competencies

• Single handily manage a team of L1/L2 for various sets of cloud customers, AWS, and AZURE

• Act as a SPOC for all database-related issues, performance tuning, and troubleshooting from an Infra/administration perspective

• Have worked with Application DBAs and are able/curious to find/scan/understand queries/code to recommend optimization and ensure issues are not on the database side.

• Owns & manages all the landscape of the available database with a 24x7 service mindset.
