Department: Engineering/ R&DReports to: Founder/ Project ManagerJob Location: BangaloreJob Summary:In this role, you have the opportunity to lead the innovation for Criador Labs. We are looking for a highly self-motivated and passionate embedded developer responsible for developing both the Hardware and Firmware for Medical Devices and Consumer Products (IoT).ResponsibilitiesDevelop device drivers, APIs, and applications as per the requirements.Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C codeImplement test cases for the applicationsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problemsMaintain proper documentation of performed tasks as per company standardsLead a team of junior developers and interns and get the work doneExhibit high leadership skills to own the work and complete on timeStrong self-learning skills to be able to work on entirely new technologiesTo create and develop hardware for IoT and consumer electronic devices.Design PCB layouts and schematics using Autodesk Fusion 360.Select appropriate MCUs, Asics, and electronic components based on project requirements.SkillsStrong proficiency in C, with fairly complete knowledge of the language specificationThorough knowledge of the standard library as specified by ISO, IEC, and ANSIGood understanding of memory management in non-garbage-collected environmentsFamiliarity with embedded systems design and low-level hardware interactions Knowledge of component data sheets and specificationsFamiliarity with language and debugging tools, such as Eclipse-based, Keil, etcKnowledge of microcontrollers and their operation is a must.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}Familiarity with continuous integrationFamiliarity with HAL and nRF frameworks will be a plusFamiliarity in understanding the embedded system schematics to develop low-level data abstraction layersKnowledge of data structures and algorithms is a plusExperience with prototyping and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards - ISO13485, FCC, CEFamiliarity with low-power design for battery-operated devices.Understanding of Analog and Digital circuit design.Debugging skillsTesting and analysing skills using Oscilloscope, DC Power Supply, etcQualificationsBachelor's / Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related fieldExperience in medical devices is a plusKnowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601 is a plusMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in hardware design engineering.Proficiency in PCB design using Autodesk Fusion 360.Strong knowledge of MCUs and their application in IoT and consumer electronics.Experience with embedded systems and hardware-software integration.Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.In return, we offer youA meaningful career, with new challenges in our growing startup, working in an encouraging multicultural environment.
