Job Summary:


Purchase Manager with min 10yrs of experience - Construction Sourcing Manager shall be responsible for end to end procurement of equipment’s, materials & parts required for Building, Infrastructure Development.


  1. Responsible for Capex/Indirect sourcing / purchasing for an OEM in the areas of CIVIL & Construction, & MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Piping)
  2. Manage the sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of awarding
  3. Devise and deploy efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
  4. Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
  5. Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
  6. Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
  7. Lead and manage the RFI & RFQ process.
  8. Establish beneficial working relationships with various internal groups across the organization including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and others.
  9. Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management.
  10. Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
  11. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  12. Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
  13. Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
  14. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  15. Ensure and develop long term relationships with vendors
  16. Managing the planning & design stages of Civil & MEP projects
  17. Overseeing all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering design
  18. Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades.
  19. Performing cost estimations and preparing project budgets
  20. Preparing work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising junior level, construction manager and work technicians & contractors.
  21. Ensuring that civil engineering projects are completed on time & within budget
  22. Well-versed in order amendments execution


Critical / Mandatory Experience

  1. Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, mainly in CIVIL & PEB function for automobile/Tech Company for Green field or Brown Field Project.
  2. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  3. Broad Knowledge about civil Process & PEB works
  4. Strong project management and leadership skills.
  5. Maintain the cost trend of Steel, cement & Sand cost w.r.t market.
  6. To work on zero based costing for Civil & PEB works
  7. Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions
  8. Strong Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  9. Capable of managing self-activity planning and sorting priorities as per deadlines and work without supervision.
  10. Coordinating with users for PR, Approvals and releasing PO.
  11. Expedite the payments- aligning with the GRN & Accounts payable team.


Educational Qualification & Experience

  1. Essential- Bachelor's Degree in Civil
  2. ERP Systems, SAP, Ariba
  3. Min 10+ years of experience in indirect sourcing/procurement in the automotive industry
