Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Site Engineer based in Chennai. The Senior Site Engineer will oversee and manage construction projects independently, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating with Labour Contractors, conducting quality control checks, and ensuring the structural integrity of projects. The Senior Site Engineer will also communicate effectively with all stakeholders and address any issues that arise on-site. Experience in handling Civil finishes is a must.


Experience:

  • Mid-Level: 3–7 years site supervision/project execution experience


Job summary:


A Site Civil Engineer oversees day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise civil works at the site (e.g., excavation, concreting, structural works, finishing)
  • Ensure proper sequence of activities and strict adherence to detailing given in drawing for all civil and civil finishes works.
  • Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications
  • Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, architects, and consultants
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections on materials and workmanship
  • Resolve site issues and provide technical support to the workforce
  • Manage site resources (manpower, equipment, materials) efficiently
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates to project managers
  • Verify and certify subcontractor bills and measurements


This position will be

  • Primarily site-based; may involve travel to multiple project locations and to head office (currently at T.Nagar)
  • Requires extended hours during critical project phases.
