Job Overview:

ImpactGuru.com is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior - Legal Manager to lead and manage all legal aspects of the organization. The candidate will oversee both litigation and non-litigation matters, manage a team of legal professionals, and ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate law, contract management, regulatory compliance, and handling disputes, while also contributing to strategic legal decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Litigation:

o Oversee and manage all litigation matters, including disputes, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

o Liaise with external legal counsel and ensure timely submission of legal documents and responses.

o Develop litigation strategies to minimize legal risks and mitigate any potential impact on the organization.

2. Non-Litigation:

o Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents(e.g.,vendor agreements, partnership agreements, MOUs).

o Provide sound legal advice on business operations, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

o Manage corporate compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

o Support the business in any new ventures or deals by assessing legal risks and implications.

3. Team Management:

o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure effective handling of all legal issues.

o Foster a high-performance culture and ensure professional development of the legal team.

o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

o Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.

o Ensure compliance with corporate laws, including SEBI regulations, company law, labor laws, and intellectual property rights.

o Act as a liaison with government bodies and regulators when required.

5. Risk Mitigation:

o Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions.

o Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies across the organization.

o Assist in the design and enforcement of company policies to mitigate risks.


Key Skills & Qualifications:


Educational Qualification: LL.B/LL.M from a reputed law school.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in corporate legal matters, with a strong focus on litigation, contract management, and regulatory compliance.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience in Fintech/Healthcare/Impact sectors will be a plus.

Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations, corporate law, and contract law.

Proven track record of managing litigation and non-litigation matters.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
