Job Summary:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, extensive knowledge of API and UI automation, comprehensive testing skills, and experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, familiarity with database and ETL testing will be essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Python Development and Test Automation:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Python.
  • Employ one or more Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) as needed.
  • API and UI Automation:
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for API and UI testing.
  • Utilize tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, Cypress, etc.
  • Ensure thorough validation of API responses and UI elements.
  • Testing Knowledge:
  • Apply functional and non-functional testing techniques.
  • Develop detailed test cases and plans for manual and automated testing.
  • Track, report, and verify bugs in applications.
  • DevOps CI/CD Pipeline:
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Setup and manage GitHub Actions workflows for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Database and ETL Testing:
  • Conduct thorough testing of database processes and ETL pipelines.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries for validation of data integrity and transformation logic.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on Python.
  • Proficient in one or more Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
  • Strong experience with API and UI automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, REST Assured).
  • In-depth understanding of various testing methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools and pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of database testing and experience with ETL testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the financial services sector.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or testing tools.
