Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Professor to join our BCA and MCA departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in computer applications or related fields. A Ph.D. or a Postgraduate degree with NET/SLET qualification in MCA is required. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate engaging learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students in BCA and MCA programs.
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to align with industry standards and academic best practices.
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
  • Research and Publication: Engage in scholarly research activities in computer applications and related disciplines.
  • Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners on research projects and initiatives.
  • Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and activities to contribute to the department's overall functioning and strategic planning.
  • Assisted in the accreditation process and ensured compliance with academic standards and regulations.
  • Support student recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.
  • Community Engagement Foster relationships with industry professionals and organizations to enhance student opportunities for internships and placements.
  • Participate in outreach programs and community service activities to promote the department and the institution.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Ph.D. in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Alternatively, a Postgraduate degree (MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science) with NET/SLET qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in BCA/MCA programs or related fields at a recognized institution.
  • Proven track record of research and publication in relevant areas.
  • SkillsStrong knowledge of current trends and technologies in computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in using modern teaching tools and technologies.
