Seeking a skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. As a Senior SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure and applications hosted on GCP.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all services running on GCP.
  • Implement best practices for cloud-native application architectures and provide guidance on GCP services usage.
  • Develop tools and automate processes to improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the GCP environment.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability metrics, and respond proactively to potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure alignment with reliability practices.
  • Conduct incident response, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support escalation processes for critical incidents.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud-native applications on GCP using services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and container-based deployments.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling development.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, cloud security best practices, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
