Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Tester to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across data warehouses, integrations, and curated business-ready layers. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic team of data professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate the data warehouse to ensure accurate data integration across multiple sources.
- Test and confirm the correctness of the Business-Ready Dataset (BRD) for business use.
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure data consistency and integrity in ETL/ELT processes.
- Verify data models and ensure seamless data flow from the warehouse to the analytical layer.
- Perform end-to-end testing for data integrations, ensuring compliance with business rules and transformation logic.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to define testing strategies and resolve defects.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure the scalability and efficiency of data pipelines.
- Automate data validation and regression tests using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Document and report test results, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in data warehouse testing, validating ETL/ELT pipelines, and testing data models.
- Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks for data quality and integration.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data in GBQ or other cloud-based platforms.
- Keen attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve data issues.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Airflow for pipeline orchestration and Python for automating test cases.
- Experience with metadata management and data governance processes.
- Knowledge of other relevant automation tools.
