Sr. Architect – Data Platforms

Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sr. Architect –Data Platform to join our healthcare technology team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data platforms, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data architecture, who can drive innovation and excellence in our data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture strategy: Develop and maintain the overall data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategies.
- Platform Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time data processing systems.
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of various data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and data quality across systems.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data platforms, addressing any bottlenecks and ensuring scalability.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all data platforms comply with industry standards and regulations, implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored data solutions.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our data platforms.
Qualifications and Skills :
Experience:
- 12 -15 years proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field is essential. A strong track record of successful data platform implementations demonstrates the ability to handle the complexities of Data Lake and Data Hub projects in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data strategies for healthcare providers
Technical Skills:
- Cloud-Based Data Solutions: Expertise in commercial cloud-based data warehouse and Data Lake products such as Databricks and Snowflake is crucial. These platforms are integral to modern data management strategies and require a deep understanding of their functionalities and best practices.
- Database Management: Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary. SQL databases are commonly used for structured data, while NoSQL databases are suitable for handling unstructured or semi-structured data. Knowledge of big data technologies further enhances the ability to manage large volumes of diverse data.
Integration Skills:
- Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data migration is critical. These skills ensure seamless data flow between systems and the accurate transformation of raw data into actionable insights.
Healthcare Knowledge:
Understanding healthcare industry standards and compliance requirements, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), is a significant advantage. This knowledge ensures that data platforms are designed to meet stringent regulatory requirements and protect patient privacy.
