Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), reconciliations, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, timely invoicing, and expense management while supporting overall financial operations.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial administration and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, fashion-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable (AP) by processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
- Handle accounts receivable (AR), including customer invoicing, payment tracking, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records by posting transactions in accounting software.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all records are up to date.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in budget preparation and cash flow management to support business operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, ensuring timely payments and managing financial relationships.
- Process employee reimbursements, payroll transactions, and other financial disbursements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GST filings, and financial reporting requirements.
- Work closely with senior management to provide insights on financial trends and performance.
- Support the external accountant or auditor during tax filing and financial audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration.
- Proficiency in accounting software Busy.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with GST filings, tax compliance, and payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and ensure financial accuracy.
