Position Overview: As a Piping Stress & Material Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and reliability of piping systems within our projects in the oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical sectors. With a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, you will use your expertise to perform stress analysis, select appropriate materials, and provide engineering solutions to complex piping challenges.


Roles & Responsibilities:


•Conduct comprehensive stress analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., Caesar II) to evaluate piping systems' performance under various operating conditions.

•Conduct FEA analysis using PRG FEPIPE or ANSYS

•Perform Technical evaluation for Valves & Piping specialties.

•Collaborate with the engineering team to select suitable materials for piping components, considering factors such as temperature, pressure, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness.

•Ensure that all piping designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and ASTM.

•Provide technical guidance to the project team, including designers, drafters, and other engineers, to ensure the successful execution of piping-related tasks.

•Identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in piping systems and propose mitigation measures to enhance safety and reliability.

•Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings related to piping stress analysis and material selection.

•Monitor and review the work of junior engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

•Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address technical queries and provide project updates.

•Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and propose improvements to existing processes and workflows.


Required Skills/Abilities


•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

•Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in piping stress analysis and material selection within the oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical industries.

•Proficiency in industry-standard software for stress analysis, such as Caesar II.

•Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, API 570, and ASTM materials specifications.

•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

•Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
