Instrumentation Engineer

Key Purpose of the Job :

To carry out the responsibilities of planning and execution of instrumentation and control system maintenance activities in the Cuddalore PVC plant.

Educational Qualification / Experience required: Graduate Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation) with 4 to 8 years of experience or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical process industry.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of Instruments and control systems

2. Spares planning and procurement

3. Preparation and Compliance of effective department working standards & and procedures in line with Organizations’ IMS systems requirements

Knowledge Criteria:

- Knowledge of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems

- Knowledge of various Field instruments including analytical instruments

- Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus technology (FF)

- Knowledge of various instrumentation standards like ISA, IEC, BS, IEEE, API, etc.

- Knowledge of process interlocks, safety systems and standards

- Knowledge of problem solving techniques

- Knowledge of Weights & measures acts

- Ability to identify critical instruments and spares

- Skill in budget tracking

- Knowledge of local vendors and product range
