Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design and development of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) such as Multi-rotor and Fixed wing.
  2. Work on UAV/Drone power & electronic systems assembly for various payloads and sensors.
  3. Understand product requirements, oversee design process, collaborate with technical team, define requirements, and build system architecture and prototype.
  4. Perform UAV testing, operations, and lead customer trials.
  5. Planning and executing flight test plans for new firmware, testing different parameters, and integrating systems.
  6. Leading technical projects including planning and organizing tasks.
  7. Performing root cause analysis and solving complex technical issues.
  8. Planning and execution of test flight, processing, and analysis of flight data.
  9. Must have piloting skills of multirotor/Fixed wing drone using Ardupilot/PX4 based firmware.
  10. Preparing technical documentation for different lifecycle stages.
  11. Good skills in research and solution analysis.


Qualifications - Education/ Skills/ Experience:

 An appropriate candidate will possess the following:

  • B.E./ B. Tech or equivalent degree in any field.
  • 3+ years of UAV industry experience.
  • Experience in product development of UAVs and hands-on experience in Multirotor Unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
  • Knowledge of concepts across– physics, aerospace, mechanical, electronics, communication, and control systems
  • UAV flight testing experience.
  • Knowledge of Arudpilot and PX4 firmware.  
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and embedded C is a plus.
  • Experience in root cause analysis processes.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a changing environment on complex projects.
  • Outstanding teamwork and an ability to interact with external and internal partners on fast-paced projects.
  • Creativity, strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a small start-up ecosystem.
