Senior Java Architect

We are looking for a seasoned Java Architect to lead the design and development of scalable platforms using Spring Boot and React. The ideal candidate will not only have exceptional technical skills but will also excel in client-facing interactions, translating business requirements into technical solutions in banking domain.

This role requires someone who is a strong communicator, with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and develop highly scalable, robust platforms using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Lead the development of full-stack applications with a React-based frontend.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide innovative technical solutions.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams, performing code reviews, and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Lead architecture discussions and decisions, ensuring the platform meets business needs and technical requirements.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the platform, implementing best practices.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the development team and clients, ensuring that business objectives are met.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure resolution within tight timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, to define project scopes and timelines.

Required skills:

  • 10-14 years of experience in software development with Java.
  • Strong expertise in Kafka to design and optimize scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot for building large-scale backend services and APIs.
  • Solid hands-on experience with React for front-end development.
  • Strong knowledge of platform architecture and distributed systems design.
  • Proven experience in leading or architecting client-facing platforms.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Previous experience working in client-facing roles with a deep understanding of how to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Optional Skills:

  • Knowledge with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Good understanding of security best practices in software architecture.
  • Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Client-focused mindset: Strong ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Leadership abilities: Proven track record of leading technical teams, mentoring junior developers, and driving projects to success.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Java architecture or related technologies (e.g., Spring certifications) are a plus.
