Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chartered Accountant preferably from background in the energy sector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and industry-specific regulations applicable to the oil and gas and renewable energy industries. 

Key Responsibilities: 


•Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports in compliance with industry-specific accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. 


• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to clients to support strategic decision-making, risk management, and performance optimization. 


•Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency, minimize tax liabilities, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to the energy sector. 


•Collaborate with external stakeholders to address accounting and financial issues, resolve challenges, and achieve business objectives. 


•Stay updated of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations affecting the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, and provide proactive guidance to Management. Support management by managing banking relations including providing information/data to banks/lenders/auditors/other. 

Qualifications: 


•Chartered Accountant (CA) designation required. 


•Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a similar role,preferably in the energy sector, including oil and gas or renewable energy. 


•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations applicable to the energy industry, with the ability to apply them effectively in practice. 


•Experience working with clients in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, with a deep understanding of industry-specific operations, financial metrics, and challenges. 


•Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency. 


•Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable financial information. 


•Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. 


•Commitment to professional development, continuous learning, and staying current with industry trends and best practices in the energy sector.
