An incumbent should be BE/ME Civil with around 17-25 years of experience in Project Management and Project Execution of large Chemical/Oil &Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer Plants.


Making project plans and tracking

Estimate the quantum of civil work based on inputs received from design team

Prepare macro schedules for each structure & daily monitoring against planned target

Identify potential crises, devise contingency plans

Effectively allocate available resources and determine if additional resources will be required


Subordinate Development

Ensure all the subordinates are rotated through all the sub functions of civil area

Ensure adequate training is imparted to the subordinate to carry out the job

Ensuring periodic MIS on progress of Projects to concerned stakeholders

Ensure regular recordings of the data towards generation of periodic MIS

Ensure correctness of the MIS reports

-Ensure required no.of manpower is deployed on the job


Prepare proposals for all Infrastructure related jobs

Conceptualizing the scheme to meet the final outcome

Budgeting of the proposal

Ensure correct completion schedules are made for the proposal


Vendor Development

Ensure detailed evaluation of contractors before finalization

Ensure multiple contractors are reviewed & approved for various activities


Cost Control

Conducting survey on ongoing rates in surrounding industry

Analysis of rates on the basis of raw material prices & labour wages

Submit Proposal for Approval on Schedule of rates


Finalization of Civil Specification for the project

Makes sure that technical data on design of buildings is conceptualized internally and shared with detailed engineering consultant

Ensure timely functional inputs are given to the consultant during design

Ensure Quality of construction in line with standard quality requirements

Establish & Maintain quality management system for civil area


EHS & Statutory Compliance

  • To review project site safety and related issue
  • Statutory documents
