Job Overview:

We are seeking motivated and talented Marketing and Content Interns to join our dynamic team and build out our marketing efforts.


You will play a pivotal role in shaping our firm’s brand and visual identity. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the investment management industry while honing your marketing and content creation skills. 


You will be responsible for managing various aspects of our content strategy, including newsletters, video production, social media management, and mainstream media outreach. The ideal candidate is not only a strategist but also a hands-on creator who can transform ideas into impactful content that resonates with our audience.


You will work with a great degree of independence and the ability to drive decisions and execute your ideas. The opportunity to work with a growth-focused and tight knit team would ensure a steep learning curve. 


Key Responsibilities:

Written Content Creation

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, producing high-quality, engaging, and informative content. Examples of content creation may include presentations, posts, blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics, whitepapers, and newsletters
  • Deep understanding of content marketing and demand generation. Has been directly responsible for story and material development and creation (vs having agency support) in a fast paced environment

Video Editing

  • Produce, edit, and design videos for platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Incorporate special effects, graphics, and animations to create compelling visual content
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and execute video content ideas

Content Management 

  • Assist in managing Ridgewood Investments' social media accounts, including content scheduling and engagement tracking
  • Manage an editorial calendar and workflow, coordinating content creation and distribution across various marketing and product touchpoints
  • Partner closely and build relationships with an array of cross-functional stakeholders including content creators and strategists, marketers and communicators

Newsletter Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of multiple newsletters, including content creation, design, and distribution
  • Develop and maintain mailing lists, ensuring accurate targeting and segmentation
  • Analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements to enhance engagement and reach

Media Outreach and Partnerships:

  • Proactively reach out to mainstream media outlets, including newspapers, TV channels, and online platforms, to distribute content
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to secure contributor partnerships

Market Research and Industry Knowledge:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and incorporate this knowledge into content strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in investing, financial services, economics, and technology 
  • Regularly analyze trends and proactively adjust content strategies

Minimum Skillsets:

  • Strong understanding of finance and investment concepts, with a curiosity to learn
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in video production and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro etc).
  • Experience with content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Work comfortably across mediums, from digital to print to newsletters

  • Take initiatives from 0 to 1, acting as a builder and innovator within the team. This means identifying opportunities for new content strategies, developing them from scratch, and executing them with precision. 
  • Be a source of creativity in all content related activities, such as developing unique content formats, initiating new engagement methods, and creating interactive experiences for audiences
