Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled QA Lead with expertise in data testing and data warehousing testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies and a proven track record of ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data processes and systems.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of ETL/data warehousing testing activities, including test strategy development, test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and data engineers, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design and implement test cases and test scenarios to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources and transformations.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for ETL/data warehousing testing to improve efficiency and repeatability of testing processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, training, and support in ETL/data warehousing testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts based on project timelines, criticality, and potential impact on data integrity.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, including test execution results, defect metrics, and overall quality status.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data migration processes and ensure successful data transfers between systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in ETL/data warehousing testing, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge in relevant technologies and tools.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of QA experience in data projects.
  • Good experience in ETL/Data warehouse projects.
  • Collaborate with the Development/Business teams to understand the requirements.
  • Analyzing Business Requirements/cases and developing/managing the positive/negative test scenarios cases.
  • Ability to create test files to validate Business requirements and metadata layer configurations.
  • Strong knowledge in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to address data issues.
  • Experience using Jira to track work assignments.
  • Working experience in Cloud-related projects.
  • Working experience in AWS/AWS Services is a big plus.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house tools and practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
