Bioinformatics Engineer

Company Description

Flahy is a healthcare technology firm developing AI-driven precision medicine products and collaborating with institutions on targeted therapies. The company continually refines and expands FlahyBase, a digital biology platform that processes large-scale -omics and medical imaging data to generate insights relevant to precision medicine and target discovery. Flahy's first precision medicine product, FlahyRecovery, is built on the FlahyBase platform.

Role Description

The Bioinformatics Engineer will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing bioinformatics pipelines/tools for use in our precision medicine products.
• Handling and databasing large-scale genomic and imaging data.
• Developing algorithms/pipelines for training and deployment of machine learning models on multi-modal -omics and imaging datasets, processing the results, and generating reports.
• Collaborating with other team members on precision medicine and targeted therapy research and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Bioinformatics.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or C++.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and biological data interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with large-scale biological data, or graphical data analysis is a plus.
• A College Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
