Internship Overview

A New York based home and lifestyle brand is looking for a Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2024 with an interest in home and lifestyle e-commerce, marketing and social media.

They will work closely with our Art Director to create assets that will be used across all marketing channels. We are looking for candidates with an enthusiasm to learn, grow and contribute to a dynamic team atmosphere.

(Exact dates are dependent on your availability and our needs.)


Qualifications

·        Are a current college and / or university student or recent graduate (2023) from NID AND NIFT

·        Bachelor's or post graduate degree required in any of the following majors:

Graphic design/Communication design

·        Provide a portfolio that demonstrates brand expression

·        Have AI Photoshop / Illustrator / In design / Figma skills


Location

Our summer intern would work full time (40 hours/week) remote from home


Responsibilities

Includes but is not limited to the below

During your internship, you’ll be supporting the creative team and working directly with the art director. You’ll work on projects which can range from brand identity systems, website design, marketing applications (print and digital), animation, video, product photo editing, logo design and more. You may also work on projects for the brands own promotional purposes (social media, website, etc.).


·        Assist Art Director with digital marketing assets

·        Design and produce visual assets such as logos, illustrations, icons, infographics, and social media graphics

·        Enhance e-commerce product images to ensure they are best-in-class, captivating customers and effectively showcasing product features

·        Help conceptualize, design, and develop marketing emails

·        Create banner ad campaigns for digital marketing needs

·        Participate in the creation and approval of Color Palettes, Inspiration Boards

·        Collaborate with team to support various design projects, including but not limited to graphic design, UI/UX design, branding, marketing materials, and more

·        Assist in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts and iterate on designs

·        Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas and concepts for design projects

·        Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and user feedback to inform design decisions

·        Work closely with the Art Director to ensure design alignment with project goals and objectives

·        Assist on-set at photoshoots and organize shoot images when required


Skills & Requirements

·        Be comfortable working closely with and being directed by senior team members in a highly iterative, sometimes fast-paced environment

·        Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

·        Figma experience is a plus. After Effects experience is a plus

·        Have a solid grasp on layout, typography, hierarchy, and color sensibility

·        Understand how to use brand guidelines and translate a brand identity into multiple designs in varying formats

·        Competent in photography or retouching is a plus

·        Have a can-do and never-let-it-fail attitude

Additional Details

Duration: Minimum 3 months
