Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Journalist with a strong editorial background to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a knack for creating high-quality content, and the ability to lead editorial projects across different media platforms. As a Senior Journalist, you will oversee content creation, manage editorial teams, and ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and engages the target audience effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit, and oversee the production of articles, blogs, reports, and other written materials across various domains, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior journalists and content writers, providing editorial direction and constructive feedback.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on various topics and stay updated on industry trends to produce informative and engaging content.
  • Editorial Planning: Collaborate with the editorial team and other departments to develop content strategies that align with the company's goals and audience interests.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all published content is error-free, adheres to the brand voice, and meets SEO and editorial guidelines.
  • Content Strategy: Work with marketing, social media, and SEO teams to align content strategies and optimize content performance.
  • Editorial Calendar Management: Plan, assign, and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of content.
  • Cross-platform Content: Create and adapt content for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and print.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in journalism, editorial management, or content creation, with a proven track record of high-quality writing and editing.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research abilities and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in editorial standards, SEO, and content optimization.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and editorial tools.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in managing a team, working in digital publishing, or specialized knowledge in a specific industry (e.g., tech, health, finance, etc.).
