JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Experience:

Previous Technical and Training experience as a Senior / Principal AWS Platform

Engineer in full end to end AWS DevOps project lifecycle Delivery.

Strong client engagement and stakeholder Management skills.

Experience of the DevOps Lifecycle (Plan, Code, Build, Test, Package, Deploy, Operate,

Monitor)

SDLC and DevOps Principles

Platform & Microservices

Automation, SCM with Git

Virtualization and Containers (docker and Kubernetes)

AWS in detail

CI/CD Concept and Tools

Ansible and Terraform

Cloud Architecture

Monitoring & Alerting

Building a Cloud Ready Application

Creating a complete platform

Technical Skills

Experience of AWS DevOps technologies.

Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins, DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Scripting languages, such as Bash and PowerShell.

Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt.

Infrastructure-as-code technologies, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM,

Pulumi.

Building secure applications and infrastructure.

SRE skills including observability and telemetry monitoring.

HashiCorp Suite (Packer, Terraform, Vault, Vagrant, Consul).

Containerisation using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift & Helm.

Programming skills using languages such as Python,JavaScript, Java, C#, and

Typescript.

Exposure and experience with other public cloud providers such as AWS and / or

Google Cloud is also highly desirable.Qualification

University Degree

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Several years' experience developing and implementing AWS solutions

Experience implementing AWS security patterns and configuration

Mentoring and coaching experience across different skill levels

Hands on CI/CD implementation experience in one or more tool e.g., GitHub, Jenkins,

Artifactory, Maven, etc

Infrastructure as a code experience - CloudFormation, Terraform, etc

Familiar with the approaches and tooling for automated software Quality Assurance
