DataStage Administrator - [ 3 - 8 Years]

Responsible for managing and maintaining the IBM DataStage environment, which is a part of the IBM InfoSphere Information Server suite. The primary duties of a DataStage Administrator will include:

1. Installation and Configuration:

∙ Install and configure IBM DataStage software on servers.

∙ Set up and configure DataStage projects, repositories, and connections to various data sources.


2. System Maintenance:

∙ Apply patches and upgrades to ensure the system is up-to-date.

∙ Monitor system performance and optimize as needed.

∙ Manage server resources to ensure optimal performance.


3. Security Management:

∙ Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.

∙ Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.

∙ Implement and manage security policies and procedures.


4. Job Scheduling and Monitoring:

∙ Schedule ETL jobs and workflows using DataStage Director or other scheduling tools.

∙ Monitor job executions and troubleshoot any failures or performance issues.

∙ Ensure that ETL processes run smoothly and efficiently.


5. Support and Troubleshooting:

∙ Provide technical support to users and resolve any issues related to DataStage.

∙ Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, job failures, and performance issues.

∙ Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.


Datastage Developer - [ 1 - 4 Years]

- ETL application development experience

- ETL design experience

- Solid grounding in relational database (Microsoft SQL Server)

- Web services and message queue design and development experience

- Experience working in a Hadoop environment

- Good understanding of software development life cycle management

- Ability to work / interact effectively with remote team members

- Adhere to coding standards as specified by the Service Recipient, procedures and techniques and contribute to the technical code documentation

- Remain well informed of new technologies / programming languages
