Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Data Scientist for our Gen AI team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have 10-12 years of hands-on experience in the Data Analytics Industry, with a proven track record of leading and delivering innovative AI solutions. As a Lead, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, technical excellence, and overall success of our data science initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI at Adani and lead a talented team of data scientists.

Experience

10 years of experience in Data Analytics, NLP & Text Analytics. At least 3 years’ experience in GenAI & LLM.

Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering AI solutions

Proven track record of driving data science initiatives

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Define and drive the strategic direction of the Gen AI practice, aligning with business objectives and emerging industry trends

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact AI projects

Develop and implement cutting-edge AI algorithms and models to solve complex business problems

Utilize advanced machine learning techniques to extract insights and create predictive models

Design and deploy scalable AI solutions that drive operational efficiency and deliver measurable business value

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and contribute to thought leadership within the organization

Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical AI principles in all AI initiatives

Act as a subject matter expert in data science, providing guidance on best practices and emerging technologies

Education Qualification

Bachelors or master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

Certification required

Relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Technical Skills

Expertise in model deployment and management using cloud platforms or on-premises infrastructure

Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques

Proven experience in building and deploying AI solutions in real-world scenarios
