Position Overview: The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for leading and managing the HR function to support the company’s strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing all HR activities, including talent acquisition, development, employee relations, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HR leadership within the metal and mining sector or similar heavy industries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture, ensuring high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements, managing risks effectively.
  • Performance Management: Implement robust performance management systems to drive employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
  • HR Operations: Streamline HR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership Development: Design and implement leadership development programs to build a strong leadership pipeline.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within the metal, mining, or heavy industry sector.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, CIPD) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong strategic planning, organizational development, and change management skills.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire HR teams, with a track record of implementing successful HR initiatives.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
