Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Creative Head - Design to take the helm of our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading all design initiatives for AIM, ensuring that our visual storytelling is as compelling as our content. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for design excellence, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of how design influences audience engagement and brand perception.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Brand Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive design strategy that aligns with AIM’s brand vision and business objectives, enhancing the magazine’s visual identity across all platforms.
  • Creative Direction: Oversee the conceptualization and execution of all design projects, including magazine layouts, digital graphics, infographics, marketing collateral, and event materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with editorial, marketing, and product teams to ensure design consistency and effectiveness in delivering key messages.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to keep AIM at the forefront of visual storytelling.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Innovation: Champion innovative design solutions that push the boundaries and set new standards in the industry.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of design quality, ensuring all outputs are visually appealing, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior design role, with a proven track record of leading successful design projects.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative design projects, including print and digital media.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, etc.
  • Experience in brand development and execution across various media platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines with ease.
