Our Client is a technology-driven organization focused on building strong capability in the areas related to technology, CAT modelling, risk management, actuarial services and advanced analytics. Below are the primary responsibilities of the role.

Role: Senior Consultant – Business Analyst

Location: Hyderabad

Responsibilities

  • Participate in / lead discussions with business users to understand the business requirements with focus on business consulting as required.
  • Participate in meetings/workshops with business users in determining the requirements for: Operations, Processes, Rules
  • Active involvement in hands-on Product configuration in line with Project specific requirements
  • Identify and highlight potential risks to the business with respect to Functional and Non- Functional requirements.
  • Manage business stakeholders to follow the system instead of heavily customizing the processes, workflow or products.
  • Analyze data relationships and dependencies, business processes and communication for mapping into future system requirements.
  • Work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to prepare clear business objectives and system specifications for the design, development and enhancement of applications.
  • Liaise with Development and Testing Teams to ensure that all documented specifications are clearly understood.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of business and system test plans.
  • Write/produce high quality documentation and provide progress reports to Lead Consultant and Project Manager as directed.
  • Ability to delegate and steer Product deliverables to completion by working with other BAs in the team.
  • Perform functional testing from business perspective.
  • Provide support to customers for UAT and post production.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree/ Diploma in relevant fields.
  • Insurance Industry Certifications and Membership of relevant professional bodies (added advantage)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in the Insurance domain with a focus on life insurance admin systems and modules should be able to demonstrate life insurance business knowledge.
  • Expert knowledge in Life Insurance product configuration with exposure to modules e.g., New Business, Underwriting, Customer Service, Claims, Billing, Collection, Payment, Accounting, Reporting, and Documentation.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders with an active participation in the requirement clarifications during implementation, and issue resolutions within-depth Business & Systemanalysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good proficiency in Powerpoint, Visio, Axure
  • Self-starter, Quick Learner, able to manage difficult situations and conflict resolution.
