Sourcing / recruitment – Assistant Manager Level


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sourcing / Recruitment Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of solid experience in sourcing and recruitment processes (preferably in shipping industry), demonstrating expertise in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across various industries.


Key Responsibilities:


Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through online channels (e.g., social platforms, professional networks) and offline methods (e.g., job fairs, networking events).


Talent Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline by proactively sourcing passive candidates and developing relationships and update crew profiles in crewing software for future hiring needs.


Candidate Screening and Evaluation: Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and assess candidates’ fit for the role and organization.


Collaboration with Crewing Manager: Work closely with crewing managers to understand their staffing needs, provide insights on market trends, and advise on best recruitment practices.


Interview Coordination: Coordinate and schedule interviews, facilitate interview debriefs, and provide timely feedback to candidates.


Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact through onboarding.


Data Analysis and Reporting: Track key recruitment metrics, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and prepare regular reports on sourcing and recruitment activities.


Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and requirements related to recruitment processes, knowledge about crew documentation and maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.


Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and recruitment, preferably in shipping sector.

Proven track record of successfully sourcing and hiring candidates across various levels and functions.

Strong understanding of recruitment technology and tools (e.g., sea job, LinkedIn Recruiter).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks including crewing documentation in a fast-paced environment.
