Director – PGP Pre Experience program

Job Purpose -


The candidate will act as the “launch product director” of the PGP Pre Experience program (under development) and ensure integration of the new program and its systems into the current program office. To do so, the incumbent will work with Deputy Dean - Programs and faculty taskforce (admission, curriculum, and placements) to define and launch a superior program.

Key Responsibilities:


The incumbent’s central role will be to strategize admissions to attract high quality MBA aspirants, define a unique learning experience including cocurricular learning and experiential learning that will distinguish the program, and ensure aspirational job roles are offered at placements. To do so, the incumbent will lead a highly motivated team who can work in a fast-paced startup mode to launch this program while drawing resources from respective program functions of marketing and financial aid, program delivery and placements. Incumbent will also work with faculty in identifying opportunities to develop innovative pedagogical tools including case studies, simulation etc. that can create a unique and superior learning experience for this new student profile.


Champion the launch of the program internally and orient related stakeholders (faculty, all functions of program office, operations, etc.) about the requirements and needs of the new student profile.


Job responsibilities to operationalize this role will be:


Program design and launch: Work with Deputy Dean - Programs and faculty taskforce (admission, curriculum and placements) to define a superior program in its category. Define a branding and communications plan for the program that ensures strong entry into the market.

Internal resources and policies: Work with Deputy Dean – Programs in ensuring required capacity is identified across program functions to successfully market, deliver and place students; faculty capacity for teaching and to develop courses if new courses ideas are identified; physical infrastructure. Beyond this, ensure program policies and guidelines are set up in line with school policies for smooth running and governance of the program.

Admissions and Financial Aid: Develop student persona for the program and design a marketing outreach plan that positions PGP PreX as an aspirational program within the target group. Design and implement an admissions process that can successfully identify and admit high calibre candidates. Design and make available an attractive financial aid package that will convert the “top” applicants to the program.

Program Delivery: Incumbent will define student experience consummate to pre-experience category and work with ASA to pivot program delivery to cater to this category of student profile at ISB. And design a strong suite of cocurricular and experiential learning components that complement in-class learning. Design O-Week that prepares students to embrace the ISB way of learning-teaching that is different from undergraduate studies in India. Placements: Create a pitch to the recruiters that clearly articulates the value proposition of the PGP PreX education and fitment to their talent requirement. Innovative pedagogical tool development: Incumbent will work with faculty in identifying opportunities to develop innovative pedagogical tools including case studies, simulation etc. that can create a unique and superior learning experience for this new student profile.

MBA/ Post Graduate Degree in Education

Specific Skills

Prior experience of working in educational institution in similar capacity; experience of working in fast paced startup mode; Demonstrated aptitude to work effectively across all functional areas of program; demonstrated aptitude to collaborate effectively with faculty in a higher educational setting. Demonstrated ability to negotiate program specific university partnership. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and proven leadership capabilities.
