Hi,We are hiring -Job Title: Project Head – Renewable Energy (IPP Vertical)Location: AhmedabadCTC - 1 CR (open for right candidate)Reports to: CEODepartment: Renewable Energy – IPP VerticalEmployment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewThe Project Head will lead the development, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, hybrid, and BESS within the Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio. The role also includes temporary oversight of EPC functions to ensure smooth project execution, cost efficiency, and compliance with timelines and quality standards.Key Responsibilities1. Project Management & ExecutionManage projects from concept to commissioning and handover.Develop strategies, timelines, budgets, and risk plans.Ensure compliance with approvals, grid requirements, and environmental standards.Oversee project quality, safety, and sustainability.2. EPC Oversight (Interim)Supervise EPC engineering, procurement, and construction until a permanent EPC head is appointed.Ensure EPC deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule goals.Resolve execution bottlenecks between EPC and IPP teams.3. Team LeadershipLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team.Allocate resources across multiple projects.Set performance metrics and accountability frameworks.4. Vendor & Contractor ManagementBuild strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.Oversee vendor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations.Monitor vendor performance against obligations.5. Budget & Cost ControlDevelop and manage project budgets.Review CAPEX and OPEX estimates.Approve and monitor major expenditures.6. Stakeholder & Regulatory CoordinationLiaise with authorities and utilities for permits and grid connectivity.Represent the organization in meetings with investors, lenders, and partners.Provide transparent reporting to senior management.7. Risk ManagementIdentify and mitigate technical, financial, and environmental risks.Develop contingency plans and monitor implementation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil); Master’s preferred (MBA/Project Management/Energy Systems).25+ years of experience in renewable energy projects, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record in delivering large-scale solar, wind, hybrid, or BESS projects.Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of EPC contracting models.Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.Key SkillsLeadership and team management.Strategic planning and resource allocation.Technical expertise in renewable energy.Strong negotiation and vendor relations.Risk management and problem-solving.Clear communication with diverse stakeholders.Performance Metrics (KPIs)On-time, on-budget project delivery.Reduction in delays and cost overruns.Vendor performance and relationship quality.Compliance with regulations and safety standards.Team retention and development.Regards,Neha Khandelwalneha.k@ipsgroup.co.inNote: Kindly don't call on any office number.
