Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems to ensure efficient operation of computer systems and network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Basic Assistance with network connectivity problems and ensure proper network access for users.
  • Basic knowledge on Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates and backups.
  • Document support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Provide remote support and guidance to off-site employees as needed.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field, or related field (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge on Desktop Support Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge on Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with office software, email clients, and remote desktop tools.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, IP addressing, and wireless access.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues.
  • Basic understanding on server maintenance tasks, including monitoring, backups, and updates.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining Active Directory, file servers, and print servers.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Certifications such as IT Fundamentals (ITF), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Azure Fundamentals.
