About the Role:

We are building a Conversational Voice AI Agent to automate and scale human-like conversations over phone calls. We are looking for a Part-Time AI Engineer who is highly proficient in Python, has strong object-oriented programming skills, and experience with WebSockets and real-time systems.


You will work on designing and building intelligent, multi-agent architectures using open-source LLMs and modern orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and MCP.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Architect and implement modular, scalable Python services for real-time conversational AI.
  • Build intelligent multi-agent workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, AutoGen, MCP, and LlamaIndex.
  • Develop and manage FastAPI-based backend systems and REST/WebSocket interfaces.
  • Implement real-time communication layers using WebSockets for streaming ASR/TTS and LLM responses.
  • Integrate PostgreSQL and vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Milvus) for memory and context retrieval.
  • Optimise performance, latency, and reliability of AI pipelines in production.
  • Collaborate with the founding team to experiment and iterate rapidly.

 

Required Skills:

 

✅ Strong programming skills in Python, with a deep understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.

✅ Proven experience working with WebSocket-based systems (real-time audio, chat, or data streaming).

✅ Experience with FastAPI and building backend APIs.

✅ Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Google ADK, Sim.ai, LlamaIndex, and any other LLM-based AI agent frameworks.

✅ Good understanding of RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, and AI workflow graphs.

✅ Experience with PostgreSQL and any vector store (FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone, etc.).

✅ Familiar with Git, debugging tools, and clean code practices.

 

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):


  • Experience with speech-to-text(STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies.
  • Worked on Twilio, Plivo, or similar call-routing platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with async programming and concurrency in Python.
  • Exposure to containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
