CubeSat RF Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CubeSat RF Systems Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF systems design, development, and testing, specifically tailored for CubeSat applications. They will be responsible for creating and optimizing RF systems, performing detailed RF design analysis, and ensuring seamless integration with other subsystems. Their expertise in RF simulation software and hands-on experience with RF testing equipment will be crucial in validating system performance under various conditions. 


Location: Bengaluru (On-site)


Job-type: Full-time


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:
  • Design, develop, and test RF systems and subsystems for CubeSats.
  • Create RF schematic block diagrams and perform complex RF design analysis.
  • Develop RF system specifications and perform system-level RF architecture design.
  • Develop and validate link budgets


  • Testing and Validation:
  • Conduct system simulations to evaluate design options and risks.
  • Perform system integration and validation tests, including RF path loss calculations and system predictions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF circuit issues.


  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document and maintain RF design specifications and procedures.
  • Generate engineering reports, including test plans, methods, and results.
  • Provide technical support to customers and other team members.


  • Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet overall system requirements.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in RF engineering.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Prior exposure in RF systems design and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or satellite industry.
  • Proficiency in RF simulation software (e.g., CST, HFSS).
  • Experience with CubeSat RF systems and spaceborne applications is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and related toolboxes


  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of RF principles and theory.
  • Ability to perform detailed RF design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of RF testing equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with space industry standards (e.g., ECSS, GEVS).
  • Familiarity with RF spectrum management and coordination.
  • Prior exposure in guiding RF systems through development phases from requirements generation to manufacturing and testing.
