We’re on a mission to make healthy eating effortless and exciting — one bowl of oats at a time.Role OverviewMiHeSo is a fast-growing premium D2C health food brand building scientifically backed, clean-label breakfast solutions. We currently manufacture through third-party facilities and are looking for a dedicated Food Technologist & QC Lead who can independently own production quality, SOP standardization, food safety, and manufacturing excellence.This role is critical to ensuring consistent product quality, scale readiness, documentation for regulatory compliance as MiHeSo expands across marketplaces and modern retail.You will be the technical owner of MiHeSo’s manufacturing—from raw materials to finished goods.Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Food SafetyEstablish, implement, and maintain QC protocols for raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods.Conduct sensory evaluation, moisture analysis, microbial checks (where applicable) and hygiene audits.Ensure every batch meets MiHeSo’s standards for taste, texture, nutrition, and safety.Oversee line clearance, hygiene practices, sanitization, and GMP at the 3P manufacturing facility.2. SOP Development & Process ManagementCreate detailed SOPs for production, packaging, raw material handling, storage, and dispatch.Define Critical Control Points (CCPs) and monitor adherence at manufacturing.Maintain complete documentation for traceability, batch coding, COAs, and QC logs.3. Third-Party Manufacturing OversightCoordinate with 3P manufacturers for production planning, batch monitoring, and troubleshooting.Conduct periodic vendor audits and ensure adherence to MiHeSo’s standards.Assist in scaling production capacity with consistent quality.4. Regulatory & ComplianceManage all FSSAI documentation, label compliance, nutritional claims verification, and audit readiness.Ensure packaging materials meet food safety standards.Maintain shelf-life study documentation and stability testing processes.5. Incremental New Product Development (NPD)Work on minor product improvements (texture, flavour stability, shelf life).Assist founders with formulation tweaks, ingredient sourcing and pilot trials.Coordinate small-batch R&D trials at manufacturing units.6. Continuous ImprovementReduce wastage, improve process efficiencies and optimize batch reproducibility.Implement corrective action plans through root cause analysis.Qualifications & SkillsEducationB.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related disciplines.Bonus: Certification in HACCP / FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000.ExperienceMinimum 2–4 years in QC/QA/Process roles in food manufacturing.Experience in RTE foods, breakfast cereals/granolas, dairy-alternative products, nutraceuticals, or dry mixes is strongly preferred.Strong familiarity with third-party manufacturing environments.Technical SkillsDeep knowledge of food safety, microbiology basics, GMP, HACCP, CCPs.Experience in documentation, COAs, SOP drafting, batch audits.Ability to conduct or coordinate basic lab testing.Understanding of shelf-life studies and stability protocols.Soft SkillsStrong communication and clarity in explaining technical decisions.Ability to lead and command respect at manufacturing units.Extremely process-oriented and detail-focused.Proactive problem-solving mindset and ownership mentality.Why Join MiHeSo?Be the technical backbone of a rapidly scaling, science-backed Indian health food brand.Work directly with founders (including a PhD scientist) on high-impact product innovation.Play a key role in taking MiHeSo from D2C to national FMCG scale.Ownership-driven culture, fast growth, and long-term opportunities.
