About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Computer Vision Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming prototype applications into production-grade systems, optimizing algorithms, and leading the team to develop innovative computer vision solutions. This role will require a deep understanding of computer vision, machine learning, AWS technologies, and Multi-modal Generative AI capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of prototype computer vision applications into scalable, production-ready systems.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers and researchers in computer vision projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Utilize Multi-modal Generative AI capabilities to enhance computer vision applications, including integrating text, image, and video data processing.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience with object classification, gesture recognition, human pose estimation, and training deep neural networks.
  • Strong background in mathematical concepts such as probabilistic models, conditional probability, numerical methods, and linear algebra.
  • Proven track record in algorithm development for computer vision applications including face detection, face tracking, and general object classification.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Industry/academic experience with machine learning and computer vision programming using libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
  • Experience with deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience in optimizing algorithms using GPU technologies (e.g., OpenCL/CUDA).
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS technologies for computer vision such as Amazon Rekognition & AWS SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of developing machine learning applications for embedded systems, including implementation on Embedded Linux platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Master's/Doctorate in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a specialization in Machine Learning or Computer Vision.
  • 5 - 8 years of work experience in a matrix organization, preferably with a global presence.
