Job Description: Senior Associate Advocate with Leadership Experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Advocate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. This individual will oversee litigation and corporate legal matters, manage a team of advocates, and ensure rigorous compliance with firm and legal standards. They will be responsible for guiding the firm’s litigation and corporate activities while offering strategic guidance to clients. There may be occasional court visits.


Key Responsibilities:


Corporate Legal Services:

  1. Agreement Drafting & Vetting: Create and review agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, property-related contracts, and more for businesses of various sizes.
  2. Legal Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence for properties, particularly large land parcels.
  3. Advisory Services: Offer legal opinions on diverse matters for clients.


Litigation Oversight:

  1. Review & Assessment: Evaluate incoming case files to determine their merit and the best legal strategy to obtain relief for clients.
  2. Drafting Review: Ensure the accuracy and quality of drafts prepared by litigation team.
  3. Legal Notices: Prepare detailed and accurate legal notices following current laws and firm standards.
  4. Monitoring & Coordination: Track hearing dates, court orders, and oversee advocates to guarantee effective case pursuit and timely updates.
  5. Case Briefings: Conduct thorough briefings and maintain comprehensive records for each case.
  6. Compliance: Ensure all PF/RC compliances are met across all cases.
  7. Client Engagement: Conduct weekly client meetings to provide updates and receive feedback. Deliver comprehensive weekly reports with case updates and next steps.


Team Leadership:

  1. Team Management: Lead a team of 10+ advocates, promoting strict discipline and maximizing productivity.
  2. Strategic Planning: Formulate strategies for effective case management and maintain clarity of thought while developing optimal solutions.
  3. Client-Centric Solutions: Provide innovative suggestions that deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
  4. Mentorship: Foster an environment of learning and ensure advocates adhere to high-quality drafting and litigation standards.
