Technical skill required: Experience in Actuarial with Annuity


Education & Certifications

  • Graduation or Post graduation in Engineering, Actuarial, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics
  • Nearly Qualified or Associate Actuary


Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working in an actuarial position within the life insurance industry or at an actuarial consulting firm
  • Annuities Pricing experience - general understanding of product, guarantees, cashflows, GMPs along with Pricing experience
  • Any excel/other software pricing experience is an added advantage
  • Ability to review VBA code, replicate logic in excel, prepare calculation specs
  • Good progress with exams
  • Experience in a client facing role


Programming skills

  • Knowledge of Excel, VBA is mandatory.
  • Python is good to have.


Expectations & Responsibilities

  • Review the legacy models for Pricing logic
  • Understand the current pricing ecosystem and develop the new state pricing solution.
  • Support the team with development of new pricing models
  • Leading the development, conversion and/or validation of new pricing models
  • Contributing to team success through peer review, sharing knowledge and insights, being proactive and assertive and mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Developing individual capabilities: expanding the breadth of one’s personal knowledge and capabilities, monitoring developments in life insurance actuarial practice
  • Taking an active role in development of the practice including building and maintaining effective relationships with clients;
