Key Roles & Responsibilities:

3+ Experience with Oracle / Postgres - Development and ETL concepts

PL/SQL Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining database applications using the PL/SQL programming language.

Designing and developing database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/SQL.

Optimizing database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code.

Developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and accuracy of PL/SQL code.

Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PL/SQL code.

Implementing database security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

Quick problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.

Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Deployment Support – Object shipment and support during any DB deployment and in integrated system upgrades.

Database Design: Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships based on project requirements and best practices to optimize data storage and retrieval.

SQL Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data for various business needs. Ensure query performance and efficiency.

Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, flat files, and other databases, into the SQL database.

Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models, ER diagrams, and documentation to represent database structures and relationships effectively.

Data Security: Implement and manage security measures, including user roles, permissions, and encryption, to protect sensitive data.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and fine-tune database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Data Validation and Cleansing: Ensure data accuracy and consistency through validation and cleansing processes. Identify and rectify data quality issues.

Reporting: Collaborate with business analysts and report developers to provide access to data for reporting and analytics purposes.

Query Optimization: Analyse and optimize complex SQL queries and procedures for performance and efficiency.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database structures, schemas, and processes for future reference and team collaboration.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and business analysts, to support their data needs.
