Position: Tax Analyst, India


Responsibilities:


  • Manage monthly statutory compliances - TDS payments and returns and rectification of defaults, if any; Goods and Service Tax returns in India, Sales tax returns in the US, VAT returns in EU
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Manage softex filings, STPI filings and related compliances
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants to ensure compliance with local tax regulations in all the regions where organization operates
  • Prepare and submit periodic tax reports and filings as required by tax authorities in various jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to manage transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
  • Periodically review the books of accounts to ensure the transfer pricing policy is consistently followed
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external tax advisors to manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities and to resolve tax controversies and disputes.
  • Manage tax provisions for subsidiary entities and coordinate with external tax advisors for US tax provision. Preparation of workbooks for important pieces for US tax provision.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and other relevant departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions, transactions, and financial reporting.
  • Provide tax-related guidance and support to internal stakeholders on various business initiatives, including international expansion.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall effectiveness of the tax function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax, or related field; CA preferred.
  • CA with 1 or 2 years of experience in taxation ; familiarity with tax regimes in other regions is a plus.
